The latest round of federal government broadband stimulus money will help fund a network expansion in the rugged Colorado mountains between Aspen and Montrose.
Madison, Wis.-based TDS Telecommunications Corp. won $1.8 million in stimulus funding to extend broadband in the Colorado communities of Cedaredge, Crawford, and Somerset. TDS will contribute $609,000 toward the project.
