Boeing, engineers reach agreement

A tentative settlement has been reached in contract talks covering nearly 21,000 Boeing Co. engineers, scientists and technical workers.

Negotiators for Boeing and the Society of Professional Engineering Employees in Aerospace announced the deal Friday. Union leaders will decide Friday evening whether to recommend approval.

Details were not immediately released.

Both sides have sought to avoid a second strike at Boeing following an eight-week Machinists union walkout that ended Nov free credit score. 2.

The final phase of the talks began Oct. 29. A federal mediator joined the negotiations Tuesday, the original target date for reaching an agreement. SPEEA’s two contracts expire on Dec. 1.

The deal is subject to ratification by union members in a vote by mail.
