Initial jobless claims down in Ohio, U.S.

The number of people making initial claims for unemployment payments fell in the week ending Nov. 21, the U.S. Labor Department reported Wednesday.
The advance figure for seasonally adjusted claims was 466,000, down from 501,000 in the week ended Nov. 14, according to a news release.
The total number of U.S. citizens receiving unemployment benefits as of Nov. 14 was 5.42 million, down from 5 cash advance loans.61 million the previous week.
Ohio had one of the largest decreases in initial claims for the week ending Nov. 14, down by 2,486, according to the release, while Indiana had one of the largest increases, up by 607.
